Theme: Artists are encouraged to submit work having to do with memory. Think about footprints, reliefs, ways to record events and time, and ways to remember.

Opening reception will be Friday February 21, 2020, 6-10 p.m.

This is a very exciting show for me to put on because it is taking place at the location of what was my family’s bike shop, Liberty Cycle. My dad ran it and I was always in the shop because the bike shop is the first floor of the building and we live on the second floor. After his passing, the shop closed and there has not been anything happening in the space for a few months, so this show will breathe some life into the space and allow the community to enjoy gathering there again. I am an art student at Rutgers Mason Gross, so I anticipate the art to be from both the community and school.

In the bike shop I was constantly surrounded by cyclists and customers, and saw how the space evolved over the years. It is a very special place to say the least, and I hope to share that, as well as use that energy as a jumping off point for this art show, titled "Exhale."

The address is 107 South Maple Ave. Basking Ridge NJ, 07920.
