"STIGMA" focuses on the themes of mental health, addiction, and recovery. The student curatorial team selected work that addressed these relevant topics because these issues are often overlooked. The show succeeded in starting the conversation in an open and positive environment.

Leading up to the show, Arshia, the owner of the gallery, hosted three meetings to allow students to come express their ideas and learn about the science behind these issues. Arshia provided a fresh point of view with her background in neuroscience.

The show itself was open to the public at Alhamra Arts in Bernardsville New Jersey over the summer of 2017. Thank you to Community in Crisis for your support of this timely initiative. And a huge thank you goes out to Wendell Jeffery for preparing us students and teaching us more about art show ins and outs!
